I’m sorry to admit, but this is not my Slash. Probably this song will make the kind of money he was written for in the first place, and probably it’s a catchy song indeed but I can’t hear anymore those Guns N’ Roses riffs. I suppose they’re overhelmed by Fergie’s Hollywood pose: tits, thongs, and shaking her ass around for anyone. Sure, she’s a beautiful woman indeed and, generally, she has an interesting voice, but seeing Slash (the legendary guitarist of the legendary Guns N’ Roses) singing along with popstars like Fergie and Rihanna it’s… not legendary. Sorry, this is not that Slash I used to love. That Slash didn’t need easy lyrics, poppy beats and a chick sucking on her thumb to sell his music. But, hey, you got to get a little dirty when you’re digging for gold, ain’t it? Only thing I like is the video reference to Sid Vicious and his Nancy. And that’s pretty much everything.
“And if I’d listen too long, I’d probably break down and cry”
