Will one of nation’s greatest musicians (Grammy Award-winning violinist) be noticed and cut through the fog in a D.C. Metro stop during rush hour? Violinist Joshua Bell experimented for Gene Weingarten’s Sunday Magazine story in The Washington Post. Read the whole story here.
In 2008, Gene Weingarten’s “Pearls Before Breakfast” was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Feature Writing. Two years later, in 2010, he won a second Pulitzer for “Fatal Distraction”, his haunting story about parents, from varying walks of life, who accidentally kill their children by forgetting them in cars.
A non-related P.S.:
“We’ll do a conference call interview on Monday with Scott Kraft, a senior correspondent and former national editor for the LA Times…” I’ve spotted this text here. It was really interesting going through an American professor’s blog (he teaches feature writing). And I had fun (or not) realizing that Romanian journalism colleges are so fallen behind with… well… pretty much everything.
